Community Assistance

Got time to spare?  We welcome any help you can offer - even if it is just one hour a week!  The sort of help that we need: teaching English; craft activities; prison visiting; children's outings; singing along and playing with young children; fund raising.  Some of the projects that we support:-
Cheshire Home A home for eight wheelchair-bound ladies; we visit them once a month to deliver groceries and to socialise. Every three months we take these very special ladies out to McDonald's.

Concordia A particularly well-run orphanage mainly looking after babies and toddlers. We visit the orphanage once a month to deliver milk and to spend a bit of time cuddling the babies.

Correctional Institute for Women We visit this women’s prison on Thursday mornings to chat with prisoners who have little or no contact with their families or friends.  These visits are greatly appreciated and make the ladies feel cared for.

Kanlungan A shelter for sexually and physically abused children, ranging in age from 6 to 17.  We visit once a month to deliver groceries and to interact with the children.

Little Sisters This project is run by 6 nuns who have set up a clinic, a nursery school and a livelihood project. We visit this area to see what progress has been made and to ask what assistance they need.

Mavis Orton Birthing Centre This birthing centre in Antipolo is visited every couple of months in order to deliver money for medicines.

Mother Teresa's Sick, neglected and abused children are cared for by Sisters in this shelter located in Tondo.  We visit every Wednesday morning, taking merienda then playing with the children.

Shiprah A birthing centre and orphanage in Antipolo that we visit once a month in order to deliver milk.
