BWA Monthly General Meetings 2006

The BWA hosts a General meeting at one of the hotels in Makati on a monthly basis. Jan Harris ably organises these meetings, inviting one or two speakers of general interest, vendors selling attractive goods, charities and of course our members for coffee and nibbles. This is a great opportunity to keep in touch with new friends, to learn something interesting and of course to buy the necessities - we have had some fantastic jewellery vendors this year! On November 13th we met at the Intercontinental Hotel in Makati. We were confined to a rather smaller space than usual so we were very cozy. However, Bruce Curran provided a fascinating illustrated talk which covered the beauty of the islands of the Philippines with stunning images. He introduced his first book and also his Banca Safari business, which you can read more about at the website www.bancasafaris.com

Bruce's talk was enthusiastic, colourful and anecdotal. The raffle prizes gained some interest. Great to see so many of our members here today.
