WHAT WE DO
With so many charities and so much need the BWA Manila have chosen to focus on Women's and Children's charities. Supporting them through monthly donations that pay for food, medical care, premises for a clinic and contribution to a Teachers salary. We also make ad hoc financial and in-kind donations throughout the year, particularly when disasters strike.
Each charity we support has a volunteer Coordinator who is a member of the BWA and visits regularly so the charities have a regular point of contact and we know that our funds are going to what is needed most. The Coordinator also arranges visits and opportunities for the BWA members to volunteer on a regular basis. The opportunities include listening to children read at a school, helping with arts and crafts, members can also help with sewing pencil cases, arranging social events, planning the Ball and making the decor.
