Who we are...
The British Women's Association or BWA as we're more often called, is a diverse group of friendly people from about 19 nations who live in and around Manila. Our members are of all ages, from all walks of life and we welcome women and men.
Our goal is to help people to settle into the Philippines as new arrivals, provide friendship and support during your time here and provide a range of social activities throughout the year. Moving to a new city can be a daunting prospect and finding new friends can be a challenge for adults. Our events include a regular coffee morning, brunches, lunches, sunset happy hours, trips, courses and an annual fundraising ball. There really is something for everyone and we are always open to hearing all your suggestions.
Through the social events we hold, we raise money for local charities which we partner with. We help those local charities with funding and support. This means we also have volunteer opportunities for our members to assist the charities on a regular basis.
